Marcus is in Round House Theatre's production of A Sleeping Country by Melanie Marnich. Directed by Gregg Henry, the play runs May 27 through June 21st. Click here for details.

The last year has been a tremendously busy one for Marcus. Most recently he directed Taffety Punk's world premiere of Gwydion Suilebhan's The Faithkiller. Last Autumn he appeared in Alice at Round House. and Henry IV, part 1 at the Folger Theatre, just after producing Taffety Punk's all-female Romeo and Juliet, and taking a quick turn as the futurist in Happenstance Theatre's runaway fringe hit Manifesto! Immediately beforehand, he played to wide acclaim as Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, and Edmund in King Lear at the Nebraska Shakespeare Festival.

About a year ago, Marcus and the Taffety Punk's received the first ever John Aniello Award for Outstanding Emerging Theatre Company at the 2008 Helen Hayes Award ceremony. This year he was given the honor of passing the torch to up-and-coming Constellation Theatre Company.

Marcus is pictured here in Eugène Ionesco's The Chairs at Round House Theatre, directed by Alain Timar – from the Theatre Les Halles, in France.
